In the historic rooms of Alte Druckerei, you'll dive into candle making: create your own candle, choose from elegant scents and colors, and let yourself be inspired by a finely curated wine pairing by owner Valerie and her team, along with small snacks.
Studio Z founder Theresa-Annabell (Z as in Zwiebeling) is the only one in Germany to offer workshops using natural wax for both shaped and container candles – an experience that combines craftsmanship, sustainability, and Danish-inspired design since October 2025 in Winterhude (only 200m from Mühlenkamp).
You can work calmly and focused at prepared stations, while the fine wines guide you through the afternoon.

Shaped candles made of 100% natural wax are – in contrast to container candles – primarily decorative objects due to the material. Slight irregularities and uneven melting behavior are completely natural. If you still wish to light your shaped candle, please place it on a suitable surface to catch any overflowing wax.
